Rhonda & Steve’s Destination Wedding

The elegant Don CeSar Hotel in St. Pete Beach, Florida was the site of Rhonda & Steve’s wedding. Referred to as “The Pink Palace,” this oceanfront location was sensational! The torrential rain in the morning did not deter Rhonda’s determination to continue with plans for the outdoor, afternoon event. Although the first look was moved inside to the lovely, Presidential-air ballroom, the ceremony was held in the lovely courtyard, without rain! Rhonda’s and Steve’s sons, her daughter, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter made up the wedding party. Rhonda & Steve’s gifts to each other–the handsome cuff links for him and the bracelet Steve had designed for her–are pictured below. The guests enjoyed dancing, the entertaining “shoe game,” and visiting with friends on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Shooting with my daughter, Rachel, (Rachel O’Neal Photography) made the event even more special! Congratulations to the happy couple!

Morgan & Josh’s Wedding Day

Some people come into our lives, and a lasting bond is formed; such is the case with Morgan’s family. Having known the bride for the past 8 years, getting to shoot her wedding was both an honor and a delight! Morgan’s joy was contagious! She and Josh were married at Pierce Chapel, the bride’s lifelong church home. The bracelet Morgan is wearing was a gift from Morgan’s maternal grandmother before she passed away. Morgan’s 90-year-old maternal grandfather (pictured below) made the trip from Tennessee for the special day. The reception was held at The Columbus Museum, a beautiful venue.  Rachel (Rachel O’Neal Photography) and I were treated like family as we spent the day with this loving couple!

Emily & Jon Petter’s Riverfront Reception

Emily and Jon Petter’s lovely wedding reception was held in Columbus, GA at the Chattahoochee River Club. The gorgeous flowers and decorations incorporated the bride’s Georgia heritage–our famous peaches–and the groom’s Norwegian heritage–chocolates! Members of Emily’s family joined in to make the event special by blessing the couple (her brother, William) and by singing (her sister, Sarah, & cousin, Rachel). Her adorable nieces and nephews joined the couple for a photo session on the riverfront. The young men pictured at the end are friends from Norway & Rwanda who came to Georgia for the celebration. I loved getting to be with this joyous couple and their wonderful family and friends for the evening!

Luna at 3 months

Getting to photograph babies is always a treat, but when the baby is your granddaughter–wow! Sarah’s mom and sister, Emily (who had arrived home from Norway!) came over to help change Luna’s clothes, making the afternoon even more special. The first pink dress was one that Sarah wore at 3 months. The white one was worn by Emily & then Sarah. Luna’s headband was made from a piece of lace from Sarah’s wedding dress–super pretty! We recreated a pose similar to one of Sarah and Drew’s wedding pictures – a silhouette in an arched window. She was precious to the end!
